National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame

Today, we went to the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. We'd gone downtown to pick up tickets at the Bass Performance Hall for some upcoming productions, and made a side trip. (As a sidenote, did you know that the Bass offers $5 tickets for students and educators anywhere in the house? We got orchestra level/Row H seats for a production later in the year for $15 instead of $75.) As for the Cowgirl Museum, they partner with the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History, and since we're members there, our free admission transferred over.

The Cowgirl part of the museum was really interesting and inspiring to little girls and boys alike. There were great exhibits of cowgirl clothing and trophies. Both Gracie and Bub enjoyed the dress-up corral and the bucking bronco, but all in all, they preferred the science stuff that's being housed at the Cowgirl Museum while the Science Museum undergoes a major renovation. Gracie spent most of her time in the imaginative play area "running errands" just like Mom. Bub spent all of his time building and rebuilding tracks for balls and making paper cups fly.

We enjoyed the Cowgirl Museum. but cannot wait for the Science Museum to be open again!
