Both kids kicked off the fall soccer season today. We have a pretty sweet schedule this year with maybe only one game scheduled before 10:30 A.M. We have no overlap, and both games are generally back-to-back and on the same field. You can't beat that!
Bub plays for "The Heat," a team that does not mess around. Bub seemed to really blossom today on a team that takes what they're doing very seriously. They played hard, and won the game 6-2.
The biggest lesson we learned today was that it is a really, really bad idea to have a sleepover the night before a morning soccer game. Gracie could barely keep her eyes open during Bub's game. Fortunately, she perked up in time to play.
Since this was Gracie's first season, she was the kid of crazy antics. She really had no idea what in the world was going on, but she kept up, ran her little legs off, and had lots and lots of fun. Fortunately, several of the other girls owned the soccer field, and "The Purple Ponies" won 8-1.
