A New Day Dawning

"David noticed that his servants were whispering among themselves and he realized the child was dead.
"Is the child dead?" he asked.
"Yes," they replied, "he is dead."
Then David got up from the ground.

After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes,
he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped.
Then he went to his own house,
and at his request they served him food, and he ate.

His servants asked him, "Why are you acting this way?
While the child was alive, you fasted and wept,
but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!"

He answered, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept.
I thought, 'Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.'
But now that he is dead, why should I fast?
Can I bring him back again?
I will go to him, but he will not return to me."

-- 2 Samuel 12:19-23 NIV

You Never Let Go
-- David Crowder (Remedy, 2007)

When clouds veil sun
And disaster comes
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
When waters rise
And hope takes flight
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul

Ever faithful
Ever true
You I know
You never let go
You never let go
You never let go
You never let go

When clouds brought rain
And disaster came
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
When waters rose
And hope had flown
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul

Oh, my soul
Overflows
Oh, what love, oh, what love
Oh, my soul
Fills hope
Perfect love that never lets go

Oh, what love, oh, what love
Oh, what love, oh, what love
In joy and pain
In sun and rain
You?re the same
Oh, You never let go

Oh I hope you both had a meaningful trip and got to experience everything you set out for. Getting away is SO refreshing! Must be a beautiful time of year for Colorado! Thought about you while we were away too.

I'd like to think that your little Zachary is filling in as a temporary grandchild for my dad.

Maybe he will read him a story, too.

You are not alone on your long hard journey. There are so many of us praying for you right now. I am so sorry that you are having to go through this heartache.
I am so thankful that you and James got to go to such a beautiful place to relax and regroup. I am sure it was beautiful up there.

I love your new blog look. You have been busy sprucing up your blogging buddies blogs. Great work!
