One year ago today, we closed on and began moving into our lovely abode. If I hadn't just had the flu, midterms, and a physical inability to scrub bathrooms, I would have taken interior pictures to share with you. Let me assure you, though, it's a blessing from Heaven -- dirty bathrooms and all.
In the year that we've been here, we've hosted days-long holidays at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We held a family reunion of sorts for James' family, reconnecting cousins who hadn't seen each other in over 15 years. We've had friends in for a week at a time. We've hosted cookouts, play dates, parties, game nights, and Celebrate Recovery leadership meetings. With regards to our home, God did "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think" so that we could "cheerfully share [our] home with those who need a meal or a place to stay" (Eph. 3:20, 1 Peter 4:9). Now, who wants to come over?

There is something so special about being able to host your friends and family in your own home. Congrats on 1 year in your house.
I do! :)
Me!!! :-)
I would love to!
I can't wait until we buy a home of our own. I am still dreaming.
Hmm where do you live? I can always use a break. Happy house day :)
Sounds like you are really enjoying your home! I feel the same way about mine, just so proud to have it.
