Remember Babbit? Well, it's Spring Break, and Babbit has hit the road.
He's got places to go and people to see, and there's no better time than the present.
On day one of the journey, we crossed the Red River and headed north into Oklahoma.
Babbit gets a boost from the blond kid.
Scaling the Arbuckle Mountains
Yes, it's true -- this is the Okie version of a mountain range.
Though we were headed to Tulsa, we missed our turn and ended up in OKC.
Babbit gets his bearings.
Our misstep made way for a tour of the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
Respectfully, Babbit waited in the car.
Babbit arrived safely in Tulsa and took a dip in the hotel pool.
Lounging Poolside
Toweling Off
Other people along for the ride and over for a swim: Bub
Gracie and Her Red-Headed Cousin
Aunt Amanda and Uncle Dustin
(Uh, yes -- there are two Amandas in this family. There are also two Jameses.
We all realize how peculiar that is, and how fitting.)
Today, Oklahoma. Tomorrow, Missouri. Stay tuned...

Almost like Flat Stanley! I had to babysit Flat Stanley for one of my former nanny charges, and he went everywhere - crabbing in Maryland, a ski resort in Vermont, road trip to Virginia, flight to Minnesota, and to the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC!
How fun!!! Can't wait to follow your adventures. Happy Spring Break!
Hilarious! I love the blue bunny... :o)
Lol!!! It looks like Babbit is having an awesome vacation.
Hey I'm jealous you didn't stop in to say "hi"! I've been busy cleaning out the storage and I have some Sissix stuff for you. Stop by if you have time on your return trip. We're just off the Turner Turnpike, you can't miss us.
This definitely reminds me of the commercial where the little girl gives her dad the monkey to take on his business trip. Thanks for taking us along.
I hope you have so much fun. I love the Babbit idea. I may have to steal that this summer.
Love Babbit! Can't wait to hear more. Have a great trip!
Love it! I have some friends who took a plastic unidentifiable animal-like thing on a trip to Europe a few years ago. They also took pictures everywhere. Hysterical!
Lol, I can't stop thinking of the blonde kid holding up Babbit. What an imagination. Lol, the photos of him lounging with the goggles......LOL.
